There was glitter and glamour galore last Thursday for the Gala screening of Skyfall at the Leamington Apollo cinema. Guests were greeted by the Tustains and Cancer Research teams for a champagne reception followed by the latest iconic James Bond film, Skyfall. The evening raised a fabulous £4,300 donation for Cancer Research from sales of tickets and a well-supported raffle prize draw.
Guests were all enjoying taking part in the event and all came looking stunning in sparkling evening dresses and formal black tie attire. Tom Milner, co-owner of Tustains Jewellers was pleased with the how the evening event progressed. “ It was a great evening, everyone had come prepared to have a good time and we are grateful for their support for this very important charity. We are also grateful for some superb raffle prize donations from Charnleys opticians, Viva Beauty salon, Episode Hotel, Dave Isham and Gillian Stott”.
The Skyfall film explores the relationship between the M16 agent and the passing of time as the story concerns the Her Majesty’s Government placing their trust both in the aging ‘M’ and in James Bond himself. “You know the rules of the game,” M tells Bond near the start of Skyfall, “You’ve been playing it long enough!” The audience at this performance were certainly gripped by the twists in the plot and the fantastic screenplay, special effects and atmosphere of this film.
Omega watches, who sponsored the Bond Skyfall movie, are available at Tustains on Regent Street, Leamington Spa.
