Teams hoping to take part in The Tustains Myton Hospice Golf Day next year are advised to register sooner rather than later as bookings have already been placed for 2018. And no surprise as this year’s sell out event was a colossal success, proving bigger and better than 2016’s inaugural contest.
Twenty-eight teams locked horns at Stoneleigh Deer Park on the last Thursday in September vying for a raft of excellent prizes and of course the coveted Tustains Trophy. Full marks to the sunshine for smiling down and the evening’s entertainment went down a treat as did the bottle of whisky put up by Jeff King following his hole in one at the 13th.
Congratulations to 2017’s champions Team Karen and also to Tollbar Tigers and The Tractor Boys who pushed them hard in second and third.
The real winners were Myton Hospice of course who have confirmed the total raised as £17,508.63 !!
A massive thank you to everyone who took part, not only for their contribution to the golf itself but also the other fund raising which helps the hospice in their endeavours. We are proud to be sponsors and humbled by their work.
