Friday, 19th September sees the launch of the exclusive range of Tudor watches here in the UK and Tustains have been selected as the sole agents of the watches in Leamington Spa. Relaunching in the UK, the Tudor brand has been established since 1926, when Rolex decided to manufacture and distribute the watches under a different brand name in Geneva, Switzerland. Tudor watches share the same reputation for dependability and a rich pedigree and with that of their sister company and can only be purchased through selected watch retailers. Tustains were chosen for their commitment to the luxury retail market, knowledge of watches and their great customer care.
“Many of our customers will be looking forward to seeing the new watches in store and being some of first to wear the new models” commented Tom Milner, co-director of Tustains “ Watches are usually previewed to the trade at the Basle show in April and there is always excitement when the new collections are actually released on sale. Because this is a national launch by a famous brand we know that Tudor watches will be eagerly awaited; it’s a bit like buying a new car with the latest registration plate number”. This year customers will be able to register their interest and reserve watches prior to the official launch date by visiting the Regent Street store.
Throughout its 88 year history Tudor has had its’ own distinct identity while adhering to Rolex’s standard of dependability, whether that’s been elegant dress watches or robust watches for professional use. When the brand was first created by Hans Wilsdorf in 1926 he expressed the idea behind the new watches. “For some years now, I have been considering the idea of making a watch that our agents could sell at a more modest price than our Rolex watches, and yet one that would attain the standard of dependability for which Rolex is famous. I decided to form a separate company with the object of making and marketing this new watch. It is called the Tudor Watch Company”
Tudor watches have long been associated with elite military personnel, including divers with the US Navy (USN) and the Marine Nationale Franҫaise (MN). The superior quality of their manufacture meant that they never needed to be specially developed for their use. Their ability to withstand the extreme pressures of deep dives came as standard.
As watch specialists, Tustains staff are qualified to help with any brand of watch that needs a service or specialist repair work. Regular servicing will ensure that a watch remains in perfect working order and keeps its value. They also provide valuations so that customers can be sure their precious timepieces are fully insured, should your watch get damaged or stolen and need replacing.
