On Friday 5th July, the who’s-who of Warwickshire will gather together at The Chesford Grange Hotel for the first Pride of Warwick District Awards, sponsored by Phillips 66. Along with a ceremony that will rival the glitziest London award ceremonies, local MP’s Chris White and Jeremy Wright will be speaking and the guests will be treated to a 5 course meal. However the main focus of the evening will be a celebration of outstanding individuals, organisations and businesses in Warwickshire, and Tustains Jewellers in Leamington will be attending as one of three finalists in the Customer Care category.
In this category, the judges are going to be looking for cases where customers have been surprised with exceptional customer care, and Tustains have more than proved themselves as being worthy finalists in this category. One of their most successful areas of business is the sale of wedding rings, and their praises in this field have been sung over and over again. Their new consultation room allows peace and quiet for the happy couple when choosing a ring, a decision that can be very daunting when so much choice is on offer. The new room also allows the staff to focus solely on the customers’ needs and personal preferences. One recent customer commented that “this example of intimate and meaningful service is becoming increasingly rare in our world, yet Tustains are thriving because of it.” Tustains also offer re-sizing, refinishing and engraving services, showing without a doubt their awareness and commitment to high quality customer care.
Recently, Tustains completed an independent survey of their customer care. A short optional survey was presented to customers, then analysed by an independent company, and the results have been a resounding success. When faced with statements such as ‘The staff made me feel very welcome’ and ‘The staff listened carefully to my requirements’, customers were in complete agreement, and the average score in the Customer Satisfaction area if the survey scored 98% overall. When asked what impressed them about Tustains, some comments included “An A* shopping experience” and “Always good service, used many times in the past.”
Tom Milner’s knowledge of the watch industry is one example of the expertise Tustains are able to offer returning customers. Tom, who has been awarded for his product knowledge, sees customers return to him for advice time and time again. He was recently asked by industry magazine Watch Pro to give his advice on current trends, including what he expected to see from top brands, and in the recent customer survey the knowledge and friendliness of the staff was mentioned the most when asked what impressed customers about Tustains.
Tustains have been a constant presence in Leamington for many years. A family run business, Joe and Tom Milner pride themselves on continuing the philosophy of first class customer care that was instilled in them when the shop was run by their father. Whether or not they win the award, their position in the final three in the competition is recognition of their dedication to their customers, and it could not have gone to more worthy recipients.
